Job summary

Farnsworth Auto, a GreatWater Garage, in Aurora, IL, is seeking a Master / Diagnostic Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair advanced electrical and engine issues. You will work with modern tools, perform DVIs, mentor peers, and uphold high quality standards in a supportive, team-focused shop.

We value integrity, craftsmanship, and diagnosing root causes rather than just replacing parts. 5+ years of experience and ASE readiness are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an A-Level Diagnostic Technician.
• State and local certifications to legally perform the work, including a valid driver's license and clean MVR.
• All 8 ASE certifications preferred; willingness to earn Master ASE.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair advanced electrical and engine performance issues.
• Diagnose fuel, ignition, and drivability systems.
• Diagnose and repair 4WD / AWD drivetrain systems.
• Perform advanced steering, suspension, and brake system repairs.
• Perform advanced HVAC diagnostics and repair.
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) and provide accurate recommendations.
• Mentor and support less experienced technicians.
• Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
