Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to drive DFMA excellence across the NPI lifecycle for server and rack-level systems during EVT and DVT. You will partner with Hardware Design, Thermal Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to ensure manufacturability, cost efficiency, and scalable production.

The role emphasizes creating and leading DFMA reviews, improving yield, and collaborating across teams to ensure successful mass deployment of next-generation servers.

Qualifications

• DFMA expertise and leadership in reviews during EVT/DVT phases.
• Background guiding products through EVT and DVT hardware development stages.
• Experience with server hardware, rack-level integration, and manufacturability.
• Familiarity with liquid cooling deployment at rack level (Manifolds, CDUs, Quick Disconnects).
• Proven ability to drive root-cause analysis and implement 8D processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead EVT/DVT DFMA reviews to optimize server chassis and routing.
• Disassemble prototypes and analyze to drive design improvements.
• Own yield improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Navigate MRP/BOM/ECO systems to extract specs and records.
• Publish formal DFMA findings with photos to intranet and stakeholders.
• Maintain DFMA records and coordinate with IT for database tracking.
• Collaborate with Thermal R&D, Quality, and Suppliers for mass production readiness.
• Assess fluid system for mass production readiness and reliability.
