Job summary

Surefire Cyber Inc. is seeking a Principal Engagement Lead – DFIR to drive multiple cyber incident response engagements remotely from the United States.

You will guide scoping, coordinate forensic teams, and deliver high‑quality client reports while ensuring timely resolutions and minimized downtime. You bring a strong DFIR background, proven incident management, and excellent client communication skills to our consulting‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in cybersecurity/IT.
• Experience leading active cybersecurity engagements including incident response and forensics.
• Experience interacting with clients, legal counsel, and cyber insurers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee active client-facing incident response engagements from detection to recovery.
• Conduct scoping calls to define incident scope, objectives, and expectations.
• Coordinate with Engagement Leads and Forensic Consultants to align resources.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships based on trust and clear communication.
• Provide well-informed solutions and timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
• Produce clear, concise incident findings and analysis reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Share knowledge with team to promote continuous learning and best practices.
• Provide after-hours on-call/w weekend coverage as required.
