Job summary

Surefire Cyber Inc. is seeking a Director of Digital Forensics and Incident Response to lead complex client engagements remotely from the USA.

You will guide incident response lifecycles, mentor a 3–5 person forensic team, and collaborate with cross-functional and external stakeholders to deliver timely, policy-aligned results. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in DFIR, strong leadership, and hands-on forensic experience across Linux/Windows, cloud platforms, and industry-standard tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience leading and managing active cybersecurity engagements including incident response and forensics.
• Mentorship experience leading teams of 3–5 professionals.
• Experience in security investigations in Linux and Windows environments.
• Understanding of AWS, Azure, and GCP security considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex client-facing incident response engagements from detection to recovery.
• Manage a team of 3–5 forensic professionals and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and deliver clear, well-structured incident reports and recommendations.
• Mentor team members and foster knowledge sharing and growth.
• Provide after-hours on-call support to address critical incidents.
