Job summary

Modern Government Solutions seeks a Sr. DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and sustain CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and DevSecOps workflows within secure cloud environments supporting national security missions.

You will drive automation, integration, and quality assurance across iterative development projects, troubleshooting complex issues and implementing improvements to enable mission delivery.

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance.
• DoD 8140 requirements including Security+ CE certification.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in a STEM field.
• 10+ years of experience with CI/CD, test automation, and DevSecOps on iterative development projects.
• Experience with cloud architecture and system design, preferably AWS.
• Experience developing integration interfaces using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy.
• Experience with DevOps tooling including Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, Active Directory, IdAM, and LDAP.
• Experience with API gateways and catalogs.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Jira.
• Familiarity with containerized development environments including Rancher and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, test automation frameworks, and DevSecOps workflows within cloud-based environments.
• Support cloud architecture and system design, with a preference for AWS.
• Develop and maintain integration interfaces using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy.
• Decompose and manage tasks using Agile methodologies and Jira story development.
• Build and maintain robust test plans; perform system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure operational readiness.
• Administer and maintain system components, API gateways, and catalogs.
• Implement and maintain DevOps automation using Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, Active Directory, IdAM, and LDAP.
• Support containerized environments utilizing Rancher, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
• Quickly assess and apply customer security requirements and processes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
