Job summary

Modern Government Solutions is seeking a ServiceNow Developer SME in Sterling, VA to design, develop, and maintain a cloud-based ServiceNow platform supporting mission-critical operations. You will integrate with AD/LDAP, IdAM, and external apps, while aligning with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices across AWS and enterprise clouds.

The role requires 8–10 years of ServiceNow experience, a DoD TS/SCI with CI Poly, and a STEM degree.

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance.
• B.S. in STEM field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity).
• DoD 8570 baseline certification (Security+ CE or higher).
• 8–10 years of hands-on ServiceNow development and administration experience.
• Expertise with CI/CD, test automation, and DevSecOps practices.
• Cloud architecture knowledge (AWS preferred; Azure acceptable).
• Integration with Active Directory, LDAP, IdAM, and mission applications.
• Familiarity with ITOM/Discovery, SAM, and Flow Designer.
• Agile methodologies and Jira experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, engineering rigor, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain ServiceNow CMDB and workflows in secure AWS environments.
• Integrate ServiceNow with Active Directory, LDAP, IdAM, and mission apps.
• Coordinate CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment of testing artifacts to ServiceNow.
• Tune and optimize modules ITOM/Discovery, SAM, Flow Designer for performance and security.
• Develop and maintain a platform CMDB for baseline configurations.
• Create and deploy ServiceNow workflows to support operations.
• Automate platform operations and improve monitoring and observability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and communicate status to stakeholders.
