Job summary

Modern Government Solutions in Sterling, VA is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and sustain CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows within secure cloud environments supporting national security missions.

You will collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams in a Scaled Agile Framework, using Python, GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible, across AWS/Azure and Kubernetes/Rancher to accelerate delivery while maintaining rigorous security.

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Security+ CE certification required as per DoD 8140.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent.
• 10+ years of DevSecOps experience in cloud-based enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools and automation (GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with Python, scripting, REST APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Experience with container platforms (Kubernetes, Rancher).
• Understanding of API gateways, IdAM, and enterprise security in classified environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps processes.
• Support cloud-based architectures and automated testing across enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) setting.
