Capital Group is seeking a security-focused engineer to enhance DevSecOps practices in a hybrid NY-based role. You will implement security into CI/CD pipelines, collaborate with developers and stakeholders, and advance secure design across projects.

The position emphasizes hands-on container tech (Docker, Kubernetes), AWS security, and Python programming, with opportunities for professional development and strong compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years in IT or security operations.
• Experience with agile workflows (Scrum and Kanban).
• Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of DevSecOps tooling (Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines).
• Experience with AWS operations and security.

Responsibilities

• Simplify automation that applies security inter-workings with CI/CD pipelines.
• Incorporate security principles into engineering design and deployments.
• Oversee testing and validation of security controls across projects.
• Draft and uphold CI/CD security strategy with other tech leads.
• Serve as point of contact for security escalations and resolutions.
• Build services/tools to enable developers to use security components.
• Shift left and incorporate security early in the lifecycle.
• Communicate risk and remediation requirements to business units.
