Job summary

Capital Group is seeking a Security Operations Engineer in New York to design, integrate, operate, and continuously improve security platforms and services. You will ensure availability, performance, and resilience while partnering with multiple teams to strengthen the organization's security posture.

The role requires strong expertise in security operations, incident response, threat detection, and automation, plus the ability to communicate metrics and executive reports to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years in DevSecOps, cybersecurity, with hands-on experience supporting enterprise security technologies.
• Experience integrating security platforms and applications using APIs, web services, event-driven architectures, identity protocols, and security tool ecosystems.
• Proven experience operating and supporting enterprise security products and solutions.
• Advanced scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, infrastructure-as-code, or similar technologies to automate security and operational workflows.
• Demonstrated expertise in optimizing security alerting mechanisms and enhancing operational processes to improve efficiency.
• Experience building and presenting operational and security metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security platform integrations with enterprise apps, cloud services, identity providers, and security tools to improve visibility and automation.
• Manage day-to-day operational health of security platforms, including availability, monitoring, incidents, SLAs, and 24x7 support.
• Develop and maintain advanced automation solutions, scripts, and workflows to streamline security operations and reduce manual effort.
• Optimize security operations by improving log onboarding, alert correlation, event normalization, deduplication, and tuning.
• Create and deliver metrics dashboards and reports for technical teams, leadership, and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, applications, and engineering teams to enhance security posture and resilience.
