Job summary

Amentum is hiring a DevSecOps Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract. The role requires hands-on leadership in cloud and on-prem infrastructure, secure IaC, and automated CI/CD with security controls.

You will collaborate with software engineers, cybersecurity, and program leadership to deliver secure, compliant platforms and scalable services. On-site positions available in CO Springs or Huntsville, AL; active DoW Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating production infrastructure in cloud/hybrid environments.
• Proficiency with IaC and configuration-management tools required.
• Experience implementing secure CI/CD pipelines and automated security controls.
• Familiarity with security engineering principles and logging/monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Pulumi or equivalent.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines with automated security controls and deployment approvals.
• Integrate security into the development lifecycle, including scanning and remediation workflows.
• Operate container platforms using Kubernetes/OpenShift and related tech.
• Establish observability with logging, metrics, dashboards and SLAs.
