Job summary

LaunchTech, LLC is seeking a Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-native, Kubernetes-based systems with AKS, AWS, and OpenShift, ensuring security and compliance.

You will work with cross-functional teams, apply IaC (Terraform, Helm, Ansible), container hardening per DoD standards, and deploy databases like PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MySQL.

Qualifications

• Must have 12+ years of general (full-time) work experience (may be reduced with advanced education).
• Must have 6+ years of directly related experience in system integration, with a focus on DevSecOps practices or Kubernetes.
• Must have 1+ years of experience working in a management or leadership role.
• Must be proficient in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Red Hat OpenShift.
• Must have a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and containerization technologies.
• Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ie Security+).
• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native DevSecOps solutions.
• Lead Infrastructure as Code migrations using Terraform, HELM, Ansible, and Bash.
• Apply container hardening to meet DoD and MDA standards.
• Develop scalable architectures on IaaS and PaaS platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration.
• Deploy and maintain cloud databases such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MySQL.
• Create comprehensive integration documentation and reports.
