Job summary

Koniag Data Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of a robust DevSecOps program for SBA and related federal workloads in Washington, DC.

The role emphasizes senior-level leadership, CI/CD pipeline development, security automation, and cloud-native practices across multiple teams, with a focus on secure, automated software delivery and compliance with federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in software engineering, systems engineering, or DevSecOps with CI/CD experience in federal or large enterprise.
• Expert-level CI/CD tool experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and container orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Experience integrating SAST/DAST/SCA and container security into pipelines.
• One or more senior cloud certifications (CKA, AWS DevOps, Azure DevOps) or equivalent.
• Strong leadership, mentorship, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical lead for DevSecOps practices, pipelines, and culture at SBA.
• Design, implement, and continually improve SBA CI/CD pipelines and toolchain.
• Integrate security across SDLC with SAST, DAST, SCA, and container security scanning.
• Develop and maintain DevSecOps standards, roadmaps, and governance.
• Manage IaC practices and automated provisioning of SBA infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Lead code reviews, architecture reviews, and security reviews for pipelines and IaC artifacts.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and develop DevSecOps training materials.
