Job summary

Koniag Operations Services, LLC (KOS), a Koniag Government Services company, seeks a Senior Cyber Defense Analyst to support SBA in Washington, DC. Responsibilities include advanced monitoring, threat hunting, incident response, and collaboration with SBA IT teams to strengthen cyber defense.

The ideal candidate will have extensive SOC experience, federal government work history, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field.
• 6+ years in cybersecurity operations with 2+ years in senior SOC/incidents.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced monitoring of SBA networks and cloud environments using SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR to detect threats.
• Lead and coordinate incident response for significant cyber incidents per SBA policies and NIST guidelines.
• Perform threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence to identify sophisticated adversaries.
• Develop enhancements to SIEM rules, correlations, and analytics with the Technical Lead.
