Job summary

Shipcom Wireless, Inc. in Houston seeks a hands-on Senior DevSecOps Engineer to own the GitLab platform, manage multi-cloud infrastructure, and drive DevOps standardization.

You will work closely with product engineering to streamline deployment pipelines, improve reliability, and enforce security practices across environments, with autonomy to set standards and mentor engineers on critical workflows.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Hands-on with GitLab CI/CD, Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and scripting in Bash, Python, or Go.
• Strong SDLC, microservices, and deployment workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architect and operate secure, scalable infrastructure in Azure and AWS.
• Own GitLab Enterprise CI/CD pipelines, runners, and access controls.
• Manage production Kubernetes clusters (AKS/EKS), Helm, and RBAC.
• Define and enforce standardized DevOps strategies across teams.
• Build IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Automate security and compliance gates in the SDLC.
• Monitor infrastructure and apps with Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal docs.
