Sigma Defense is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. You will drive automation and release engineering across GitLab CI, IaC, and Azure infrastructure while collaborating with specialists.

The role demands a security-minded approach in a DoD-regulated environment and a strong aptitude for learning new systems. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with GitLab CI, Kubernetes, Docker, and scripting in Python, plus IaC with Bicep or Terraform.

Qualifications

• Experience in DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Linux and scripting skills.
• Understanding of modern development practices.
• Experience with Azure networking and virtualization.

Responsabilités

• Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
• Build reusable pipeline functionality with GitLab Components and standardized patterns.
• Support automated build, test, integration, security validation, packaging, and deployment.
• Develop release automation for reliable multi-environment delivery.
• Implement and maintain GitOps-based deployment and config-management workflows.
• Integrate software, infrastructure, configuration, and security into automated release processes.
• Develop IaC using Bicep and/or Terraform.
• Deploy and configure Azure infrastructure via automated pipelines.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues across pipelines, apps, Linux, Azure, networking, and virtualization.
• Develop scripts and automation to improve release processes.
• Support modular development for reusable components.
• Integrate automated testing, security scanning, and compliance gates into pipelines.
• Work within Git-based workflows including branching, MR, code reviews, versioning, and releases.
• Assist with containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
