Job summary

CGI Federal in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking a Senior DevSecOps CI/CD Engineer to support secure automation, deployment pipelines, IaC, and cloud delivery for a federal modernization program.

This role enables rapid, reliable, and secure deployment of mission critical applications across AWS and on‑prem environments, collaborating with Full Stack Engineers, Cloud Engineers, QA Automation, and Product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of DevSecOps, CI/CD engineering, or secure automation experience
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship required
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and secure development practices
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, security scanning, and deployments (DevSecOps Pipeline Engineering)
• Embed security gates, code quality checks, and compliance validations into CI/CD pipelines
• Manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation for cloud and on-prem environments
• Provide environment provisioning, configuration management, and deployment orchestration
• Integrate logging, monitoring, and alerting into cloud and hybrid systems
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, data teams, and product leads across sprints
• Support troubleshooting deployment issues and optimize pipeline performance
• Document pipeline processes and deployment procedures
• Assist readiness checks and major release deployments
