Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to lead security across our cloud-native infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will architect secure-by-design AWS/GCP environments, define policy-as-code, and mentor teams on secure coding practices.

This role demands strong experience in Kubernetes, IaC, and regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA and SOC 2. You will collaborate with Engineering, IT, and Compliance to advance security posture as we scale nationwide.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software, infrastructure, or security engineering with DevSecOps
• Deep expertise in cloud architecture (AWS and/or GCP)
• Strong experience designing, building, securing containerized environments (Kubernetes)
• IaC pipelines security expertise (Terraform/CloudFormation)
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices
• Scripting/programming skills (Python, Go, Ruby)
• Experience growing DevSecOps from early stages to scale
• Background in SRE or platform engineering
• Security certifications (CISSP/CISM/CCSP or cloud certs AWS/GCP)
• Observability platforms and security telemetry integration

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the DevSecOps vision across infra, apps, and CI/CD.
• Architect secure-by-design cloud-native systems (AWS/GCP).
• Establish security guardrails and reference architectures for engineering teams.
• Design, maintain, and secure CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows.
• Automate security testing and compliance checks to reduce manual overhead.
• Implement policy-as-code and automated governance controls.
• Implement network segmentation, zero-trust architectures, environment isolation.
• Support and mature security program in HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST, etc.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding and DevSecOps practices.
• Influence leadership on security strategy and risk prioritization.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Product, IT, and Compliance.
