Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Chantilly, VA is seeking an IT Lead – DevSecOps Engineer to provide technical leadership for integrating security across the SDLC, modernizing the DevSecOps toolchain, and guiding enterprise Azure DevOps, GitHub, and OpenShift migrations.

You will partner with architecture, cybersecurity, and development teams to enforce standards, drive automation, and improve developer experience while reducing risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related discipline; equivalent experience accepted.
• 7+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps or related engineering roles.
• 2+ years in technical lead or architecture role.
• Experience migrating enterprise repositories and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes and Azure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and continuous improvement of secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Define and enforce enterprise security standards across SDLC.
• Collaborate with architecture, cybersecurity, and app teams.
• Mentor engineering teams on secure development and DevSecOps practices.
• Oversee governance, risk management, and compliance controls.
