Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior IT Development Lead in Houston to guide the design, development, and delivery of enterprise software aligned with IT strategy. You will lead teams, ensure secure, scalable solutions, and promote modern engineering practices across global partners.

The ideal candidate has strong Microsoft stack expertise, 8+ years of experience, and proven leadership in enterprise delivery, with a focus on Agile, DevOps, and secure development standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 8+ years of software development with a strong focus on the Microsoft stack.
• Proven experience leading development teams delivering enterprise-scale applications.
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
• Experience supporting production systems and resolving complex technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and support of enterprise applications.
• Serve as a technical leader responsible for architecture, integration strategies, and best practices.
• Drive development, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
• Establish priorities, manage timelines, and ensure delivery aligned with IT strategy.
• Guide the adoption of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Partner with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver effective technology solutions.
• Evaluate existing systems and recommend modernization initiatives.
• Ensure availability, reliability, performance, and scalability of applications.
• Provide leadership and guidance in resolving complex technical challenges and incidents.
• Develop and maintain architecture documentation, technical specs, and development standards.
• Lead Agile delivery practices and cross‑functional coordination.
• Mentor and support developers across global teams.
