Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to design, automate, modernize, and operate secure cloud environments. You will lead modernization efforts, improve CI/CD, and mentor teams while ensuring compliance in regulated settings.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, IaC development, and collaboration with architects, cybersecurity, and customer stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cloud engineering, DevOps, or related roles.
• Strong AWS production experience and security/compliance focus.
• Hands-on with IaC, CI/CD, and automation tooling.
• Experience in regulated environments and FinOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration and modernization of legacy apps to AWS.
• Design, deploy, and operate AWS environments for multiple workloads.
• Develop IaC with Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation; build reusable modules.
• Automate provisioning, monitoring, and governance across cloud infra.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and blue/green/canary deployment patterns.
• Support containerized workloads with Docker, Kubernetes, EKS/ECS.
