Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer for a full-time hybrid role. You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines across firmware, embedded software, backend services, and engineering tools, while partnering with firmware, software, and quality teams to automate and elevate software delivery.

Responsibilities include IaC, automation, monitoring, release management, and security/compliance integration across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Build Engineering, Release Engineering, or related roles.
• 4+ years of experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• 4+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• 4+ years of experience with containerization technologies and automated build/test environments.
• 4+ years of scripting and automation experience using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now and in the future.
• No relocation benefit is being offered; candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting firmware, embedded software, backend services, and engineering tools.
• Develop automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve engineering efficiency.
• Build and maintain engineering infrastructure, development platforms, and IaC solutions.
• Enhance developer experience through self-service tools and platform improvements.
• Support release management, artifact management, and deployment automation.
• Implement monitoring, observability, and operational excellence practices across systems.
• Drive DevOps and DevSecOps practices across the SDLC.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, deployment, and automation challenges.
• Partner with firmware, software, and quality teams to improve reliability and productivity.
