Job summary

UST is seeking an experienced DevOps Lead to drive CI/CD automation, cloud infrastructure, and operational excellence across enterprise applications in Atlanta. You will provide technical leadership to engineering teams, establish DevOps standards, and ensure secure, scalable delivery.

The role requires 8 years IT experience, 5 years in DevOps/cloud engineering, and strong IaC/Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platform skills. Competitive compensation and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD technologies (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
• Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production deployments.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proficiency in Git-based source control and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Understanding of DevSecOps, SRE, and release management principles.
• 8+ years IT/engineering experience; 5+ years DevOps/cloud engineering; prior lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and improvement of CI/CD pipelines for build, test, deployment, and release.
• Define DevOps standards, frameworks, and best practices across development teams.
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform).
• Lead containerization/orchestration initiatives with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Manage cloud environments across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, deployments, monitoring, and operations.
• Establish observability, logging, and monitoring capabilities.
• Partner with Development, QA, Architecture, Security, and Infrastructure teams to improve delivery.
• Embed security controls and DevSecOps practices within CI/CD and infrastructure.
• Drive deployment reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency; troubleshoot issues.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to DevOps/engineering teams.
• Support release planning, environment management, production deployments, and incident resolution.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through automation.
