Job summary

Octus is seeking a DevOps Engineer to lead cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation across products. You will collaborate with Application Developers, Data Engineers, SRE, Security, and IT to ensure reliability, scalability, and security of systems.

You will drive infrastructure-as-code, monitor health, respond to incidents, and participate in on-call rotations while coordinating with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and cost.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role.
• 2+ years of Terraform experience.
• Expert knowledge of cloud concepts and services (EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, ELB, EBS, VPC, Route53).
• Expert Linux skills with strong automation scripting.
• Ability to diagnose incidents (RCA) and document results.
• Solid DB configuration and maintenance understanding.
• Security-focused with experience in controls and monitoring.
• Infra-as-code tools and configuration management experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment.
• Prioritize workload to improve developer efficiency.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability, performance, and cost.
• Collaborate with SRE to develop monitoring and alerting systems.
• Coordinate with Security to enforce best practices across infra.
• Work with developers to optimize application performance and reliability.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
• Communicate status, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Participate in on-call rotation for system support.
