Index Analytics LLC in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and secure AWS cloud environments for federal clients. You will drive platform reliability across the software lifecycle and partner with product teams to improve deployment efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or CS and 5+ years of IT experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on AWS or similar cloud experience.
• Experience with CI/CD and IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with Linux, scripting, and Python/JS/Go.
• Strong communication and Agile delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or comparable platforms.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.
• Automate build, test, security scanning, deployment and environment-provisioning processes.
• Operate and maintain AWS infrastructure with monitoring, patching, backup, recovery, capacity and cost controls.
• Implement logging, monitoring, alerting and observability using CloudWatch, Splunk, New Relic, or comparable tools.
• Integrate code quality, software composition, vulnerability and container scanning into delivery pipelines.
• Support containerized workloads and orchestration platforms where applicable.
• Partner with security teams on architecture reviews, control implementation, assessments, penetration testing and remediation.
• Troubleshoot deployment and production issues, conduct root-cause analysis and maintain operational runbooks.
• Advise Agile teams on automation, tooling, DevSecOps standards and continuous improvement.
