Job summary

Index Analytics, LLC is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, automate, secure, and maintain AWS cloud environments for federal clients. You will develop and manage CI/CD pipelines, build reusable infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or CloudFormation, and automate deployment, security scanning, and provisioning processes.

The role requires Linux expertise, scripting (Python/JS/Go) and hands-on cloud experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field; 5+ years IT experience.
• At least 2 years hands-on AWS or comparable cloud experience.
• Experience with CI/CD and Git-based workflows; infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficient in Linux, scripting, and at least one language (Python, JavaScript, or Go).
• Knowledge of cloud architecture, monitoring, logging, security scanning and incident troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills and Agile delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, automate, secure and maintain AWS cloud environments for federal clients.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CodePipeline).
• Develop reusable infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Automate build, test, security scanning, deployment and provisioning processes.
• Operate and monitor AWS infrastructure; implement logging and observability.
• Collaborate with security teams on architecture reviews and remediation.
• Guide Agile teams on automation and DevSecOps best practices.
