BNY Mellon seeks a Director, DevOps / Full Stack Engineering to lead the Markets Engineering team in Lake Mary, FL. You will drive the end-to-end delivery of a critical service within Global Collateral, blending hands-on software development with cloud architecture leadership.

The role emphasizes building scalable, secure cloud-hosted solutions, implementing CI/CD, and improving observability, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in computer science or related field.
12+ years of systems analysis and development experience with leadership responsibilities.
Extensive hands-on full stack software engineering with Java, SQL, and Angular.

Responsibilities

Design, code, review, and modernize applications.
Develop full stack solutions using Java, SQL, and Angular; apply AI-assisted tooling.
Collaborate with product/platform teams to translate requirements into scalable tech.
Own target-state architecture in the public cloud including hosting, scaling, and resilience.
Define cloud-native components and platform services to modernize the stack.
Lead sizing, capacity planning, and performance optimization for cloud solutions.
Establish CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and release controls.
Partner with cloud providers and internal teams to optimize architecture and resilience.
Drive a DevOps culture with ownership of build, deployment, monitoring, and incident readiness.
Improve platform observability through metrics and logging.
Champion reliability engineering, including DR and high availability.
