Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer II to design, develop, and support complex financial applications. You will lead cross-functional teams, ensure secure, scalable software, and collaborate with data engineers, PMs, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions throughout the SDLC.

The role involves coordinating development activities, troubleshooting, and upgrading systems while enabling new features in a compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in full-stack development within financial services (or similar).
• Strong experience with REST APIs and front-end frameworks (Angular, TypeScript).
• Experience with modular architectures using Webpack and Micro Frontends.
• Knowledge of SOA/OSB/BPM/BRE systems and BPM workflows with IAM.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in RESTful endpoint development and UI/UX tools like Figma.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders and tech teams to gather and analyze requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain complex cross‑platform applications.
• Coordinate technical design, development, testing, and documentation of software solutions.
• Write well-structured, efficient, and testable code using modern frameworks.
• Create flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to support architecture.
• Maintain and upgrade existing systems, adding features and improving performance.
• Participate in code reviews, security reviews, and QA processes.
• Promote reusable components and best practices to improve efficiency.
• Work with data engineers and project managers to deliver integrated solutions.
• Ensure application security and privacy throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans (unit/integration/performance).
• Document procedures, configurations, and technical specifications.
