Job summary

BNY is seeking a Vice President, Full Stack Engineer to join the GSS Enablement Platform team. The role is based in Lake Mary, FL and Pittsburgh, PA, focusing on scalable Java/Spring Boot microservices, Angular front-end, and modern CI/CD practices.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of full stack experience, strong Java/Spring Boot REST skills, and proficiency in Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with test automation and Agile experience. Financial services knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 6+ years of full stack technical experience.
• Strong expertise in Java/Spring Boot/REST development, microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Front-end proficiency: Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (3+ years).
• Experience with test automation: Cypress or Selenium; TDD preferred.
• Experience with RDBMS and Agile methodologies (Sprint/Kanban).
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Write well-designed, testable, scalable code for client-side and server-side architecture.
• Develop tests and test-automation suites and participate in code reviews.
• Create flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to meet requirements.
• Maintain software functionality and manage technical debt; ensure security and privacy.
• Integrate components into a full system and oversee development work.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and daily stand-ups; collaborate with teams for timely delivery.
• Promote engineering best practices and rapid releases.
