Job summary
General Dynamics - IT is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer to support our intelligence customer on-site in Springfield, VA. This role requires TS/SCI clearance and involves developing cutting-edge cloud and on-prem solutions to meet mission-critical needs.
You will automate deployments, optimize monitoring, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure across production, staging and development environments. On-call support and SAFe/Agile collaboration are part of the responsibilities.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of DevOps experience in enterprise environments.
- Experience with containerized platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift).
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash or Shell.
- Experience deploying On-Prem and cloud infrastructures.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tooling (GitLab, Jenkins, etc.).
- Must possess TS/SCI clearance or be eligible for it.
Responsibilities
- Automate and optimize service deployments.
- Establish and improve system monitoring while maintaining security protocols.
- Architect, build and maintain On-Prem and cloud infrastructure.
- Administer production, staging and development environments.
- Monitor logs and performance; manage security and incident response.
- On-call support and participation in SAFe/Scrum meetings.
