Job summary

General Dynamics - IT in McLean, VA seeks a senior cloud engineer to join a software development team delivering enterprise cloud solutions on AWS. You will contribute to design, deployment, and operation of scalable cloud services, with emphasis on Java applications, RESTful interfaces, and CI/CD pipelines.

You will mentor teammates, translate business needs into technical roadmaps, and ensure security and reliability across missions requiring TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering and enterprise cloud deployments.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required or as stated.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate scalable cloud services on AWS.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate Java applications and microservices.
• Mentor teammates and share cloud engineering knowledge.
• Ensure security, reliability, and performance across cloud deployments.
