Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer in Fort Belvoir, VA to deliver simple solutions to complex problems for DoD clients. You will tailor cutting‑edge solutions to meet unique requirements, focusing on end-user experience and career growth for the team.

Our role supports mission-critical environments with Kubernetes, CI/CD tools, and SRE practices. The position is on-site at Fort Belvoir, requiring US citizenship and TS/SCI eligibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT and/or software experience.
• DOD 8570 IAT Level II required (Level III preferred).
• Experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD tools such as Concourse, Spinnaker, Jenkins, Bamboo, or TeamCity.
• Experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi/NsX-T and related virtualization tech.
• Strong understanding of DevOps methods and release management.

Responsibilities

• Own distributed and managed services; automate installation, configuration, and maintenance of platform services.
• Manage system tuning for reliability and efficiency; guide and manage software releases for new features.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineers with less experience.
• Ensure system security and troubleshoot problems; stay current with OS/software trends.
