Job summary

Mercanis is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to evolve the infrastructure behind our SaaS and agentic platform, which runs on both AWS and Google Cloud (GCP). You will work on infrastructure across both cloud platforms, CI/CD, Kubernetes, observability, security, and developer experience across multiple services and environments.

This is a hands-on role with strong ownership, close collaboration with product engineering teams, and direct impact on how we scale our platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or similar role.
• Strong hands-on AWS and GCP production experience.
• Kubernetes (GKE) and Helm expertise.
• Terraform or OpenTofu, GitLab CI, IaC practices.
• Scripting in Python or Bash.
• Experience operating production systems and troubleshooting complex issues.
• Security-minded cloud infrastructure and access management.
• Strong remote-first, async communication.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP for multiple services.
• Improve CI/CD, Kubernetes, observability, and security practices.
• Enhance developer experience across environments and teams.
• Collaborate with product engineering teams in a hands-on capacity.
