Job summary

Aquent is partnering with a leading financial institution to hire a DevOps Engineer. You will ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of critical enterprise systems in a fast-paced trading environment.

You will design automation, implement robust monitoring, and contribute to SDLC improvements using a range of tools and languages. Strong Windows and Linux administration is required, with a focus on proactive issue resolution.

Qualifications

6-8 years of enterprise-level administration and support.
6-8 years writing automation scripts and building proactive monitoring/alerting solutions.
6-8 years practicing and improving SDLC processes.
Extensive hands‑on enterprise systems administration, monitoring, and deployment.
Proficiency with Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022) via VM.
Knowledge of DNS/DHCP/firewalls/IP routing.
Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems and HA architectures.
Proficiency in one or more languages: .Net, C#, Powershell, YAML, Java, Python, Bash.
Knowledge of SQL/Oracle/MongoDB/Postgres.
Bachelor’s degree in CS or related discipline.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise-level administration and support for critical systems.
Design, develop, and implement automation scripts to boost efficiency.
Build and maintain dashboards and alerts using Grafana, Influx, Datadog, Moog, ThousandEyes.
Drive SDLC improvements for reliable software delivery.
Hands‑on admin, monitoring, and deployment across diverse environments.
Troubleshoot and tune Linux and Windows systems.
