Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a technically curious junior engineer to support and improve the infrastructure powering trading operations in Woodridge, IL. You will work with Linux and Windows servers, Python, Bash, PowerShell, networking, monitoring, and automation to support high-availability production systems.

You will collaborate with developers, traders, and infrastructure teams, gaining hands-on exposure to low-latency environments and deployment reliability.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of professional experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, SRE, Trade Support, or related field
• Strong system administration and troubleshooting skills
• Experience supporting both Linux and Windows Server environments
• Scripting experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking
• Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues across infrastructure and applications
• Experience analyzing logs and diagnosing system, application, and connectivity issues
• SQL and database experience
• Ability to work on-site in Woodridge, IL
• Comfortable working in a high-pressure production environment
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
