Job summary

Aquent partners with a leading financial institution seeking a highly experienced DevOps Engineer to drive reliability and innovation. You will manage enterprise systems, automate deployment, and build scalable infrastructure across Linux and Windows in a fast-paced trading environment.

You will implement dashboards with Grafana, Influx, Datadog, and ThousandEyes, tune SDLC practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of enterprise-level administration and support experience.
• 6-8 years of automation scripting and monitoring using Grafana, Influx, Datadog, Moog, ThousandEyes.
• 6-8 years of SDLC process improvement experience.
• Hands-on enterprise systems administration, monitoring, and deployment experience.
• Proficiency with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 hosted via VM.
• Solid understanding of IP networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, IP routing).
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
• Strong Linux and Windows system administration, troubleshooting, and tuning skills.
• Development experience in .Net, C#, PowerShell, YAML, Java, Python, Bash.
• Knowledge of SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Postgres.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-level administration and support, ensuring optimal performance and availability of critical systems.
• Design, develop, and implement robust automation scripts to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Build and maintain advanced application dashboards and alerts using Grafana, Influx, Datadog, Moog, and ThousandEyes for proactive monitoring and rapid issue detection.
• Drive continuous improvement in SDLC practices, contributing to more efficient and reliable software delivery.
• Perform hands-on enterprise systems administration, monitoring, and deployment activities across diverse environments.
• Provide expert-level system administration, troubleshooting, and tuning for both Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Develop and maintain code in various programming languages to support automation and system enhancements.
• Contribute to the design and maintenance of high-availability architectures and large-scale distributed systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and implement strategic solutions in a fast-paced trading environment.
