Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking a Lead, DevOps Engineer to operate on the individual-contributor track. This senior role drives outcomes through deep technical expertise, cross-team influence, and hands-on execution while avoiding direct people management.

The Lead sets technical direction for cloud-native platforms, defines DevOps and automation standards across multiple teams, and is accountable for reliability, scalability, security, and delivery velocity of critical technology products.

Qualifications

• Deep technical leadership in DevOps and automation.
• Experience defining and enforcing DevSecOps standards.
• Hands-on engineering with cloud-native platforms.
• Experience with Kubernetes and platform observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on engineering, collaboration, and continuous improvement to move teams faster while improving reliability, security, and scalability.
• Design and implement automation for platform management.
• Lead the team and mentor junior engineers in DevOps and automation practices.
• Drive automation across CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Partner with engineers to promote Agile practices and a collaborative culture.
