Job summary

Toyota Financial Services seeks a Software Engineering Lead to guide feature‑level execution across dealer and consumer digital platforms. You will balance hands‑on engineering with technical leadership and delivery ownership, including people management where applicable.

You will mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and partner with product teams to deliver scalable solutions that meet business goals. This role emphasizes reliability and high availability in production systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering with production feature ownership.
• Hands-on Java with Spring Boot.
• Experience designing REST, GraphQL, and event-driven APIs.
• Proficient in AWS services including ECS, Fargate, and serverless components.
• Experience building scalable, highly available customer-facing applications and distributed systems.
• Frontend experience with React, Next.js, or Vue.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of features and services from design to production support.
• Design scalable, resilient services and APIs for dealer and consumer experiences.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance on best practices and code quality.
• Own feature-level architecture for capabilities such as PreQual, Pricing, Incentives, or Funding.
• Coordinate functional, integration, and production-readiness activities for reliable delivery.
• Partner with Product, UX, and cross-functional teams to translate priorities into scalable solutions.
• Support dealer integrations and operate high-availability production systems.
• Contribute to hiring, mentoring, and team culture.
