Job summary

PNC seeks an experienced Technology Engineer Sr to design, implement, automate, and support enterprise-scale infrastructure and application platforms. You will work primarily in non-production spaces while supporting development teams across the software delivery lifecycle.

The role requires strong Linux, web servers, CI/CD, containerized workloads, observability, and security; readiness for off-hour releases is expected as part of production support.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux administration and scripting experience (Bash, Python).
• Experience with Tomcat and Apache web servers.
• Hands-on CI/CD knowledge with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.
• Experience with IBM MQ and Confluent Kafka messaging/streaming.
• Solid DB experience: Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB; container tech (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Automation tooling (Ansible) and Redis caching experience.
• Git-based source control and branching strategies; basic networking/security concepts.
• Familiarity with Java and Angular frameworks (non-developer level).
• Observability tools such as Dynatrace, Logscale, Elastic, Splunk.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure platforms.
• Manage Linux server environments and containerized apps.
• Implement IaC/CaC using Ansible; perform lifecycle maintenance.
• Leverage automated pipelines; collaborate to streamline software delivery.
• Monitor health with observability tools; analyze logs; improve resiliency.
• Lead security/compliance tasks; manage vulnerabilities and certificates.
• Coordinate releases across apps; support non-production and production releases.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
