Job summary

Ryan seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to design and automate CI/CD ecosystems across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments. You will help engineering teams accelerate software delivery with secure, scalable, and observable platforms.

The role blends software development with cloud infrastructure, focusing on an Internal Developer Portal, automation, and platform engineering to standardize delivery across the organization. Strong Adamic collaboration and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering.
• Six+ years hands-on with CI/CD tools (Harness, CloudBees, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and modern software delivery practices.
• Deep development expertise in Java and/or Node.js.
• Strong AWS and/or Azure experience, including networking and serverless.
• Advanced proficiency with Terraform and IaC.
• Experience designing scalable cloud-native architectures.
• Knowledge of Windows Server and SQL Server incl. Availability Groups.
• Scripting: Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation.
• Secure software delivery, Git branching strategies, and DevSecOps.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Leading evaluations/PoC for tools and processes.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Champion a DevOps culture focused on automation-first mindset, continuous improvement, collaboration, and transparency.
• Partner with development teams to improve reliability, performance, and deployment practices.
• Architect and implement an Internal Developer Portal (IDP) for self-service infrastructure, templates, and deployment workflows.
• Enable golden paths for onboarding and reduce cognitive load for engineers.
• Integrate IDP with CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, identity management, and observability platforms.
• Maintain service catalogs, documentation standards, and ownership metadata.
• Continuously improve developer experience through platform enhancements.
• Design, implement, and maintain fully automated CI/CD pipelines for Java, .NET, and Node.js applications.
• Build standardized deployment workflows across AWS and Azure.
• Implement automated testing, security scanning, and quality gates in pipelines.
• Create reusable pipeline templates and libraries to enforce best practices.
• Optimize build/deploy performance, reliability, and observability.
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS/Azure using IaC (Terraform).
• Build reusable Terraform modules and governance via policy-as-code.
• Implement secure, scalable networking and cloud-native patterns.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for infra and apps.
• Integrate DevSecOps practices and vulnerability scanning.
• Lead PoC initiatives for new tools and processes.
