Job summary

Erias Ventures is seeking a highly experienced DevOps Engineer to advance our hybrid development team in San Antonio, TX. The role emphasizes Kubernetes, AWS, and automation to deliver scalable infrastructure and reliable services.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of DevOps/Software experience, strong scripting in Python/Bash and proficiency with Terraform/Ansible, plus DoD 8140/8570 compliance or willingness to obtain within 60 days.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps Engineering or software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with AWS services including EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda.
• Proficient with Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.
• Skilled in Python, Bash, and Go programming.
• Familiar with Git, Flux, and CI/CD tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification (Security+) or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
• Hybrid work model: 1–2 days per week at San Antonio, TX office.

Responsibilities

• Support development and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS.
• Support development and deployment of non-cloud (Edge) infrastructure of on-premise and portable equipment.
• Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems; improve availability and performance.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends.
