Job summary

Sigma Software is seeking a Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and operate enterprise-grade Kubernetes platforms and cloud infrastructure for government-focused environments. You will drive infrastructure delivery from discovery to production, automate provisioning with IaC, and maintain CI/CD and GitOps workflows, mentored by senior leadership.

The role emphasizes collaboration with customers and stakeholders, along with ensuring security, compliance, and platform hardening

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial DevOps experience in enterprise environments.
Deep Kubernetes administration, networking and security expertise.
Hands-on AWS and/or Azure cloud platform experience.
Proficient with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices.
Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to lead technical initiatives and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade Kubernetes platforms and cloud infrastructure.
Lead infrastructure delivery from discovery to production rollout.
Automate provisioning and configuration management with IaC.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
Configure secure cluster operations, secrets management, and hardening.
Collaborate with customers, vendors and stakeholders in workshops and solution discussions.
Prepare technical proposals, plans, estimates and roadmaps.
Troubleshoot production environments and perform root cause analysis.
Support compliance and security requirements for government environments.
Mentor engineers and contribute to technical leadership.
