Job summary

Enlighten seeks a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join a fast-paced team focused on scalable cloud infrastructure. Hybrid role in Hanover, MD with occasional work from Columbia, MD; candidates should have strong Kubernetes experience, AWS (EKS), CI/CD, automation, Linux administration, and scripting with Python/Bash/Go.

DoD 8140/8570 certifications are required. You will deploy and automate infrastructure, monitor services for reliability, and collaborate with software teams to ensure seamless

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include active Top Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 9+ years of DevOps Engineering or Software Development with a Bachelor's; or 7 years with a Master's; or 13 years with HS diploma.
• Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Experience with AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda).
• Configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience deploying and managing applications, containers, OS, and scaling.
• Ability to develop in Python, Bash, or Go and operate in a terminal-based environment.
• DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications (e.g., Security+).
• Ability to support onsite rotating schedule in Hanover or Columbia, MD; some WFH may be possible.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS.
• Automate deployment processes and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliability and rapid scaling.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into infrastructure.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot and maintain high availability.
• Improve processes and tools to optimize performance.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
