Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced development team in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on Kubernetes orchestration, AWS-based infrastructure, and automation to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of services.

The candidate should have 5+ years in DevOps or related fields and be comfortable leading teams, mentoring engineers, and working closely with customers onsite. Security clearance is required due to government contracting work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience per the job posting.
• 5+ years in DevOps Eng or Software Development; or 3 years with a Master's.
• Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Strong AWS experience: EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda.
• Proficient with Terraform & Ansible for configuration management.
• Experience with deployment, scaling, and OS deployment.
• Programming in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Familiar with Git and deployment tools.
• Comfortable in a terminal environment.
• Strong Linux sysadmin & troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and Agile methodology experience.
• Experience as tech lead or mentor for teams.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure deployment in AWS (EKS).
• Deploy and manage on-prem and portable edge infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes for reliability and scalability.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and AWS resources.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate apps into infra.
• Monitor production systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Improve processes and tools for availability and performance.
• Stay current with new tech and industry trends.
• Provide team leadership and mentorship.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
