Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Senior DevOps Software Engineer to centralize and standardize TCPED OSINT across DoD and IC. You will lead a DevOps team, integrate off-the-shelf and new software, and deploy a containerized microservices platform in Bethesda, MD with occasional remote tasks.

You will work with cloud, AI/ML, and cross-domain transfer systems to enhance data exploitation and analytics capabilities, while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team in a high-security environment.

Qualifications

12+ years in software development, system engineering or related field; 10+ years with Master’s degree.
Current DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II or higher certification (Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CCNA Security, CISSP or Associate).
Ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) certification.
Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) including troubleshooting Ingress/Gateway API, Helm chart design/build, Pod disruption budgets, affinity rules, external-secrets, ArgoCD, cert-manager, ECK.
GitLab CI/CD development, Code Quality reports, and Code Coverage reports.
Linux OS navigation (sysctls), FApolicyd, SELinux experience.
Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) experience.
Product Owner or Agile leadership, backlog management, and Scrum ceremonies facilitation.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
Active TS/SCI clearance (per Required Security Clearance).
Experience with production/enterprise systems and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
Experience with Kafka or message systems and Kubernetes monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

Lead a DevOps team for design, deployment, and maintenance of a full stack containerized microservices architecture.
Perform systems administration, installation, and configuration.
Foster DevOps culture and cross-functional collaboration across teams.
Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big data pipeline using Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
Enhance CI/CD and DevOps scripts for faster, resilient deployments.
Design scalable, redundant infrastructure (physical and virtualized).
Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features.
Collaborate with System Engineers on feature design and requirements.
Provide input to systems engineering documentation and diagrams/models.
Own and prioritize the Agile team backlog and SAFe PI planning.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and monitor sprint/program progress.
Review and accept completed work ensuring business requirements and quality.
Communicate priorities, progress, and goals with stakeholders.
