Job summary

RPMGlobal in Bethesda, MD seeks a DevOps/Platform Engineer to support the NMEC DOMEX Technology Platform and D3P modernization by designing, deploying, and maintaining a full-stack containerized microservices architecture in a mission-focused environment.

You will deploy and maintain a production big data pipeline on Kubernetes with Elasticsearch, Kafka, and CI/CD pipelines, use Helm for deployments, and collaborate across systems engineering, architecture, development, security, and operations

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher with relevant field and years of experience.
• Strong Linux proficiency.
• Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration and GitLab.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
• Demonstrated success in cross-functional engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big data pipeline using microservices on Kubernetes.
• Enhance, improve, and maintain CI/CD scripts and DevOps processes.
• Design, develop, and support scalable infrastructure including physical and virtualized environments.
• Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, architecture, development, security, operations, and integration teams.
• Participate in Agile release planning, scrum of scrums, bug triage, design sessions.
