Job summary

Xcelerate Solutions is seeking a DevOps Software Engineer with TS/SCI clearance to join a high‑energy team in Bethesda, MD. You will design, deploy, and maintain a containerized microservices stack and a production data pipeline while advancing DevOps practices.

The role emphasizes collaboration across systems engineering, development, security, and operations, with on‑site work and occasional remote opportunities. A bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Engineering/CS/Systems Engineering or equivalent experience.
8+ years of relevant experience; 6+ years with a Master’s.
Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes; CI/CD orchestration with GitLab.
Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana; cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Deploy and maintain a big‑data pipeline on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
Enhance CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation to speed delivery.
Design scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical/virtual environments.
Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features.
Partner with Systems Engineers to architect new capabilities.
Contribute to engineering docs, diagrams, and models.
Participate in Agile release planning and team activities.
Collaborate in a government contract environment with TS/SCI requirements.
