Rocket Lab USA seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer I to build and run our observability platform, delivering reliable, scalable telemetry for mission-critical systems. You will partner with Space Systems teams to enhance monitoring, dashboards, and alerting while improving security and performance across AWS, GCP, and on-prem environments.

You’ll implement AI-driven automation, manage deployments with Terraform and Git, and help shape reliability across Rocket Lab’s space missions.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related technical field.
• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience operating production observability and monitoring platforms.
• Demonstrated AI/ML expertise with automation systems.
• Experience with AWS and GCP cloud services.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform and Git-based workflows.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsabilidades

• Build, operate, and improve the observability stack (Grafana, Mimir, kube-prometheus-stack, Grafana Alloy).
• Design scalable metrics collection and dashboards for Kubernetes and cloud workloads.
• Develop dashboards to provide actionable insights to engineering and leadership.
• Tune alerts and workflows to reduce noise and improve incident response.
• Define SLOs/SLIs and monitoring standards with engineering teams.
• Integrate AWS CloudWatch/CloudTrail for visibility and security monitoring.
• Automate deployments via Terraform, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
