Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead reliability and architecture for a large-scale restaurant tech platform. You will design cloud solutions, manage Kubernetes deployments, and automate operations across cloud, edge, and networking domains.

The role requires strong SRE, IaC (Terraform), and CI/CD experience, with on-call responsibilities and collaboration across engineering, security, and operations teams. Hybrid work with onsite Tue/Thu in Louisville.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure.
• 3+ years in SRE, Cloud Architecture, Platform Engineering and Cloud Infra Engineering.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience including VPC, EC2, ECS, EKS, Fargate, Lambda, IAM, RDS, S3.
• Working experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong Kubernetes and container orchestration expertise.
• Experience supporting edge computing or distributed environments.
• Experience building and managing GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Terraform experience.
• Enterprise networking experience including switch configuration and VLANs.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, Go.

Responsibilities

• Reliability & Observability: define SLOs/SLIs and error budgets; build monitoring and alerting.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
• Develop scalable, secure cloud architectures across AWS and Azure.
• Architect and manage Kubernetes deployments, including edge environments.
• Develop IaC using Terraform and automation tooling to improve efficiency.
• Lead DevOps & automation efforts; build CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD.
• Support restaurant edge tech deployments and MDM endpoints.
• Enforce security governance and automated controls; perform risk assessments.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams; create runbooks and docs.
