Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead reliability and architecture for a large-scale restaurant tech platform. You will design cloud solutions, manage Kubernetes deployments, and automate operations across cloud, edge, and networking domains.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure.
• 3+ years in SRE, Cloud Architecture, Platform Engineering and Cloud Infra Engineering.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience including VPC, EC2, ECS, EKS, Fargate, Lambda, IAM, RDS, S3.

Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Contract Length: 6 Months (with potential for extension)

Location: Hybrid Remote | Onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays in Louisville, KY 40213

Overview:

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the reliability, architecture, automation, and operational excellence of a large-scale restaurant technology platform. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving infrastructure that spans cloud environments, Kubernetes platforms, edge computing systems, networking, mobile device management, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tooling.

This is a senior-level, hands‑on engineering position requiring a strong generalist mindset. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable architecting cloud solutions, troubleshooting distributed edge systems, improving observability, automating operational processes, and driving reliability initiatives across the technology stack.

Responsibilities:

• Reliability & Observability
• Define and manage Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and error budgets
• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews
• Establish reliability metrics and report on system health and performance
• Proactively identify and mitigate reliability risks
• Improve Mean Time to Detection (MTTD) and Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR)
