Job summary

General Motors LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to strengthen our CICD and Embedded Software Development Tools Group. You will drive build/test automation for the OPTIMUS platform and ensure reliable, secure, scalable workflows across GitHub, Azure, and Artifactory.

The role requires 5+ years in software development with DevOps focus, strong scripting, and experience with embedded software tooling. This is a hybrid position with collaboration across product, security, and IT teams.

Qualifications

5+ years of software development experience focusing on DevOps and cloud computing.
Experience building automation pipelines with Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
Experience with cloud platforms and integrated virtual workspaces.
Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Knowledge of embedded software development tools and processes.

Responsibilities

Establish and enforce standards for repository governance, branching strategy, and artifact management.
Drive platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence across GitHub, Artifactory, Azure, and cloud agents.
Create/maintain monitors for platform and build health using dashboards and metrics.
Design, develop, and maintain automation pipelines for embedded software production on the OPTIMUS platform.
